We went there for the first time on Valentine's Day, which can be a bit risky given the crowd and pre-fixed menu.....but our experience was amazing, it was like any other night. While they had a special pre-fixed menu, they offered most of their regular signature dishes. The bread is to die for and the crabmeat ravioli was so sweet, it could pass as a dessert! Pasta Carbonara was so rich and full of bacon flavor. Service was impeccable. Can't wait to go back!

Disappointing I ordered 2 of self professed stantard dishes. Not so just fair lunch. Jus not really good . Dry lasagna and same with eggplant needs sauce badly!!

I went to dinner at Oggi with some friends while in Florida last month. They have been going there for years and highly recommended it. I've become a fan too! Great food and service. Maybe it was partly because my friends were regulars, but I really did like the way the staff was very friendly and treated us superbly. My only regret right now is that I did not write down the names of all the things we tried. They were all great! When I am back in the neighborhood, I plan to go there again.

I was in there about two weeks ago, and the food was not the same great food as it used to be. I was so disappointed. The service was terrible, the seafood in my pasta tasted frozen and cheap and the bread was just dumped down cold. I remember when Oggi was the best of the best. I hear it was sold. There is my answer. I am so sorry this has happened, I will go to Prima Pasta now, they are very reasonable and at half the price of Oggi (no, the prices didn't go down with the standards), they're a better deal.

Didn't get to try the food here, but I will comment on the rudeness my boyfriend and I were treated with when we came to have dinner one night. We had called early to make sure at what time the restaurant closed. They told us 10:30, so when we pulled into the parking lot at 9:50, we were surprised when someone (not sure if it was a waiter) yelled out, before we even stepped out of the car, "no, we're closed!" in the rudest, most unwelcoming tone. Keep in mind that it's not like we got there 10 mins before the restaurant was closing, we got there 40 minutes before the closing time. So we left. However, since one of our friends highly recommended the food here, we thought we might give it another chance . We went there on a FRIDAY! at 4 PM!!! And we actually had the chance to step inside this time. But when we walked in, a waiter just stood there, staring at us. Until I finally said "um...I need a table for 2". He said the kitchen was closed. The hours weren't visible on the door, so we had no way of knowing beforehand. In short, we gave up on trying to eat here. They should really think about how their customer service turned, at least 2 potential customers, away.

This place was good. We had a great lunch, sat next to the window. Great service and delicious food. I'm definitely a fan.

We started off the with every intention of going to our good ol' fathful, Prima Pasta, but the wait was ridic. And so we ventured to Oggi with our 2-year-old in tow and I'm glad we did because I discovered Miami's BEST garlic bread in doing so. Trust me...the garlic bread is so good, it'll make you wanna slap your mama. The Ceasar salad was a bit week but the spinach and ricotta stuffed raviolis in pink sauce were money. The service was really good too and the restaurant is very kid friendly, which is always a plus for mommies. So if you want Miami's best garlic bread, come here.

Great experience i must say the hospitality was amazing I've never been treated so good at a restaurant anytime i'm back in miami this would be my number one spot the food was also so reasonable i wouldn't mind paying 200+ for a meal that came out to only $60 honestly this would have to be the best restaurant I've ever been to the atmosphere is just amazing as well as the food.

Dear Oggi Cafe, Ahhh, many memories here. I used to come here often, once upon a time, but it had been a couple of years since I last had come... Until a couple of weeks ago, when I came to attend my friend's mom's 70th birthday party. Everything was just as I remembered it. You still have your outdoor seating, and the inside is decorated nicely, with dim lighting and a great ambiance. We were seated in the back of the restaurant, in your private room. It's nicely sized and comfortably seats about 25 people. There were 5 tables set up and a gift table, and the staff was quite attentive to us all. My friend and her sisters had an Elvis impersonator for their mom, who appeared while we were eating dinner. It was such a blast and I was glad to see your establishment was ok with an extra entertainer. The food was delicious as I've always recalled. We were given a set menu, with choices between a soup or salad, 3 different entrées, and a dessert. I opted for the salad, the crab-meat ravioli, and the tiramisu dessert. The salad was just a pre-meal basic salad, fresh ingredients, no complaints. The ravioli were delicious, with a creamy lobster sauce that was seasoned so perfectly. And the tiramisu was just heavenly. It's one of my favorite desserts and you do it just right! After each course the staff would clear the plates, bring new silverware, and change the napkins if one needed it. Also, my favorite part, my wineglass was never empty. Talk about on-point staff! Thanks for the good times and great food. I am glad you have been able to stay in business for so many years. :) Until the next time I can make it up your way... Best regards, SabrinaAnna*

Went to Oggi last nite. One word- GOOD. Got there and the place was 60 full. It was a good crowd. The service was wonderful. The waitress was nice and knowledgeable. They didn't have the wine we ordered but they gave us one that was more expensive at the same price. What we loved was that the dishes weren't removed till both of us were done. Doesn't suck when you are left there eating by yourself. I like that they leave everyones plates in front of you until everyone at the table is done. I waited tables for a while and this is the way I learned to do things. It make sense. The food was good. Nothing was out of this world but it was good. I had the chicken picatta which is always perfect. Overall this place is worth checking out just because of the service. We were pretty happy when we left. We are definitely going back.

Got to Oggi on a living social deal while visiting Miami and am glad I did. The food was great and the staff was attentive but not overbearing. Started with muscles that were fantastic and a Rissoto Di Mare that was delicious and tender. Barely could eat half the food and could easily have split an entree. Will be back my next trip to Miami

Great homemade pastas. Nice atmosphere with a bay view across the street. Not too pricey. Friendly service. Nice white table cloths and table settings. The only downside is that it is in a strip shopping center. The upside to the shopping center, however is that parking is easy and plentiful.

The food is just okay. I live a few minutes away and wished I liked it more. Standard Italian fare, service is good but I always walk away unimpressed. I think I might just prefer my Italian restaurants to be run, by, um, Italians!

Ahhh what can I say about Oggi .. I love it ! My husband and I have been coming here for our monthly date nights for years ! We used to live around the corner but moved to Hollywood. The drive down to North Bay is always so soothing with the bridges over looking the city and the constant bay breeze. I miss this Island ! So last night we had our date night and were really happy to see that they are putting more love into this hidden gem. They added new planters and white table cloths, Feels homey. We usually order apps only, Our favorite The Boconccinos, Carpaccio and the pear salad :) But tonite we decided we were really hungry and had the pasta Carbonara and the Penne. Nothing fancy but it was delightful. Together with a great glass or 2 of Malbec and a Peroni or 3 for my husband. The staff is always so caring and friendly. I love looking around and seeing all the other patrons on their date nights. It is really such a great place to have dinner and conversation with the ones you love. The manager is always so polite and on point, He has the best manners and his style of service is impeccable ! This place is a hidden gem in North Bay Village ! I have spilled this little date night secret to a couple of my friends and now they too are becoming local. I hope that if you are reading this that you give this place a try and i hope you find it charming like we have and tell your friends and family. Oh and last at the end of supper you can't leave without trying the Tiramisu !

I've been stuffing myself silly at Oggi for eons now. And let me tell you, if you haven't been just yet, go. And be sure to order to cheese bread. Go ahead and get two baskets because that's how many your going to need. Oggi is an Argentine-run upscale Italian spot. The food is authentic, delish and professionally served. Most occasions, I opt for the Penne Bella Napoli, which is penne, sauce and mozzarella cheese. And about half of it always comes home for later because the portions are a good size. The staff is uber friendly and attentive, too, which is exactly what you want in a restaurant. My only complaint, a few years ago they changed the edible basket the strawberries and cream dessert comes in and I've just never gotten over it. I guess it's time to try out a new dessert. I hear the meringue isn't bad. Maybe that's where I do my next calorie binge the next time I'm at Oggi.

I got a Groupon for dinner for four. It was a risk because my parents were in town and it was a little out of the way. Overall, it was a great experience. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. If I'm ever nearby, I would definitely go back.

Great Italian restaurant with authentic food. This is hard to find in Miami. It offers some privacy which is very enjoyable. Waiters are present but let you eat peacefully.

Have visited Oggi at least ten times over the years. There old and original location (next to where they are now) was a bit tight in space. They are now located next to a bank (can't remember which) but the food is well worth the sacrifice in location setting in my opinion. Love there cheesy garlic bread and crab ravioli in lobster sauce. Good wine selection as well. I have always received great service at Oggi's.

Appetizers were great! All four entrees were exceptional. My pasta and salmon with vodka sauce was the best I ever tasted. Good wine. Excellent service. Tables were a bit cramped for four but the food was so good that it didn't matter!

This was our first time dining at Oggi Caffe. I have driven past this place countless times. I always noticed the funny name and neon lights, but didn't realize what an amazing restaurant this truly is! The decor is very nice inside, a combination of modern and classic. The seating was very comfortable. Immediately upon entering, we were greeted by Andres, the manager. He welcomed us home like family with a big smile and friendly personality. We sat down and looked around at how nicely decorated the restaurant is, and enjoyed the nice lounge music playing. We ordered beautiful bottle of Italian Chianti wine, which was superb, exceptionally delicious! We were invited to try the garlic bread, and I'm extremely glad we did! I also asked for a bowl of Parmesan cheese, which was brought to us instantly, and I marveled at the size of the bowl, this was a serving for about 8 people, with a big spoon, I couldn't have been happier as I LOVE Parmesan cheese, and had more than enough for the entire meal. The garlic bread came out hot, cut into pieces, covered in melted mozzarella cheese with rosemary and lots of garlic and butter, and then I put a few spoonfuls of the lovely Parmesan cheese on top, wow! So delicious! We also ordered the crab ravioli covered with creamy lobster sauce, which was also fantastic! Additionally, we ordered a Snapped filet, with broccoli and mashed potato's which were the best I've ever eaten! Dinner Dentice Alla Livornese, Snapper livorno: Fresh snapper filet sauteed with fresh tomatoes, capers, onions and black olives. The food and service was so outstanding, we also ordered The Dinner Trio Toscano, which includes a combination of grilled snapper, grilled salmon and giant shrimp served with linguini aglio oleo sauce a seafood trio. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu, which was amazingly flavorful and creamy, the best we've ever tasted! We can't wait to come back for the lunch special, now that we have found our new favorite restaurant!

Consistently great food AND service--still very healthy portions. Easy access parking, reasonable prices. There is a good reason OGGI has endured and thrived since 1989! I'll be back. This is a definite GEM (neighborhood) and worth driving to as destination TREAT! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

The food exceeded my expectation, considered my self a food conoisseur. The salad had reduced balsamic vinegar as a dressing.Have had the Lobster Ravioli soft and tender, with lots of lobster meat plus the creamy sauce had the right amount of flavor to please the tastebud. I have tried several lobster raviolis can securely say this is one of my best experiences so far. My partner had the Linguini Vongole with loads of vongole with the right reduction of white wine sauce and garlic plus the portion was above average. Did not need to ask for a take out container. The service was very courteous and attemptive, as this was our first visit a complimentary glass of vino del Porto was served which was very thoughful. 3 kudos for this cousine so far.

One of the most consistently delicious food and great service. The price is very reasonable and the food comparable to very expensive restaurants. Love this place. Love to go where I am well taken care and the food is great.

This spot is the most consistent in all facets of a dining experience. Been eating here for over 10 years and have never had anything less than the best possible service, food and hospitality. The servers have been here for years and the owner or same manager always greets you. The Restuarant tends to be low key, definitely known by way of word of mouth so they let their reputation speak for itself. The location is also unique but don't let the office building on top fool you... The place is nicely decorated.

Ranks as one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Miami. Love their garlic cheese bread (although it always seems like bread is a day too old). Their arrugula salad with strawberries are great. Excellent Osso bucco special with risotto last night. Normally love their whole wheat spaghetti with chicken, spinach, garlic and oil but last night it was a huge miss! We ordered two as appetizers and we all commented that the chicken seemed microwaved? Can this be possible? Service can be spotty at times and last night they did not have enough staff to handle a sell out room but then again it was New Year's. regardless we still really like this place.

OGGI is one of my favorites restaurants. I have been going to OGGI for 10 years. The food is absolutely delicious. The salads are so good, Ravioli, pasta, Salmon, etc. . The food is always fresh. They always welcome you with a big smile, Paula, Andres, Jose, Ronal, Ruben are excellent. They are very professional and super nice. I go to other places and I find it hard for a restaurant to be better than Oggi. If I go to Oggi I know what to expect always and I have never been disappointed at their food or service. Worth every penny!!

Have not been to Oggi Caffe in years. I t was like a forgotten place until my friends mention it and we met them there and we were pleasantly surprised just how nice it was. Service was excellent. Food was very good. It was a nice place to meet and see old friends and DINE and not be rushed out.

We used to be regulars here when Riccardo was the chef. We decided to come back but what a mistake. Food is OK but Service is Way too slow. So bad. Waiters are amateurs!!! No wonder we stopped coming here after Chef Riccardo left. Plus gratuity is included so lacks good service. Very disappointed.

This is the best italian food restaurant in the Miami Beach area and the prices are perfect! Great for some wine and pasta. The Garlic bread is a hit for starters but my all time favorite here is their Lasagna then the Pasta Carbonera To droll for I swear!

Located in North Bay Village, this off the beaten path restaurant is sure to surprise you. A casual atmosphere, excellent service and the food was a real surprise. The best chicken parmesan I've had in Miami, try the crab ravioli, delicious or you might want to keep it simple, TRY the spaghetti and meatballs you will not be disappointed! Good food, good prices and good service, YES MA'AM, ITS GOOD!

Went here for the first time last night. As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted and sat immediately! Ordered the garlic cheese bread which is a must! How can you go wrong with crispy garlic bread stuffed with delicious mozzarella ?! Yum...we ordered another basket. I had the Linguini with clams but substituted the linguini for Gluten Free pasta with no problem. I was blown away by the tastiness of the white wine sauce. It was very flavorful. The Gluten Free pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. I also tried the Chicken Parmesan and it was another hit. I am very picky about my red sauce and this one was awesome! (Another red sauce I love is at Joeys in Wynwood) You could taste all the herbs and garlic used to make it and the freshness of the tomato! Chicken was juicy with just enough crispness from the breading and meltiness (totally made that word up) from the mozzarella... I did bite on two pieces of grit or something from clams but it didn't bother me at all. Service was very attentive and wine was delicious! Never even knew the restaurant was in that building but glad I found it! Xo!

I've been going here for more than 15 years and a recent return just made me want to review it again. I'm never disappointed. You can't beat the fresh pasta. The service, although far above the Miami standard, has lost some of it's quality over the years but all in all is still a great experience.

A hidden Italian treasure in the heart of North Bay Village!!! Consistently stellar food! Service is phenomenal! I absolutely love their Pasta Faggioli, and Cheese Garlic Bread. Keep up the great work guys! If you haven't tried this place already, you won't be disappointed.

  • Nicole H.

A disappointment to say the least in terms of food. Service was good, but food tasted like it was re-heated - came out extremely fast and was lukewarm in some areas and cold in others. Perhaps my expectations were too high - but I will not be coming back here again.

  • Anna M.

I really wanted to like this place... I mean, they have great service, lovely place and in a nice location. The lunch menu is priced absolutely excellently. However, the food was not great. It was greasy, heavy and left me feeling groggy the rest of the day. The tilapia I had was far from fresh and everything had an overwhelming taste I butter. Not subtle and did not taste Italian. Not authentic Italian at least. I'd comeback for drinks maybe or when I stop caring about my weight and cholesterol and healthy living...

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
